This school is very unprofessional, way to expensive, not accredited, they lie to the students and they do NOT back their instructors.

I was recently an instructor for Remington College. There was drama everyday no structure, students were allowed to run all over the instructors. They cursed and and yelled at instructors. The management did nothing about it. The management wanted every teacher to just pass the student no matter what their grade was which is cheating and lying. They also let the students grade the instructors which i felt was unfair because they would lie just because they did not like you and because you were hard on them. OVERALL THIS SCHOOL IS A SCAM AND NOT A COLLEGE EXPERIENCE AT ALL!!

I agree as a former instructor to the unprofessionalism of the administration of the school. Prospective students should certainly consider some other path to learning the skills in the field of their interest. Remington is definitely not that path.

Guest

Yes... this is very true i had proof that my grade was falsified.

When i brought it the right persons attention i was told in so many words that its not my business. Wish i never got stuck in this, i should have done my research.

How could Remingin Corporate put someone like Ms LaShundia Brooks in charge of any of their campus. She manages people by intimidation.

She makes sure that all faculty members understand that their jobs are on the line everyday. If she decides she doesn't like a faculty member for any reason. They will be terminated for some bogus reasons.

Time on the job or past and present performance will not matter to Ms. Brooks.

Horrible school, way too expensive!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went to Remington College Cleveland-West Campus in Ohio...BIG MISTAKE! First off the program was $13,00 for a 9 MONTH PROGRAM!! When I got accepted they said EVERYTHING was included in the tuition INCLUDING the certification test for the medical billing and coding class..what they FAILED or "forgot" to tell me was your gpa when you graduat had to be 3.0 or higher. When it came time to graduated they informed me that they would not be paying for the test. When I asked why they said "Your GPA was not high enough"..they never once told me that I had to have a certain GPA in order for them to pay the certification exam!! The exam itself was around $300-$400 depending on which one you took. I was very disappointed because I had to quit my job in order to go to school, it was a very fast paste school, and fast track. I recommend that you reconsider going to Remington College!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS SCHOOL..And one more thing, if you attend this school and plan on furthering your educating by going to a different school after you graduate, Your credits WILL NOT TRANSFER!!!!!! I plan on going to college and just found out that most of the classes that I took at Remington will not transfer to my new school so now I gotta retake some of my classes!!

I feel your pain. That school backstabbed instructors with student evaluations and blamed complaints to corporate from students on instructors even after instructors warned them and instructed students to follow the chain of command.

Glad this school in Olmsted is dead and gone. They deserved it.

A 3.0 or higher...come on you quit your job to go to school full time!!! Need to hit those books harder.

I'd say your primary educators failed you. After reading the dribble you posted I need a couple shots of whiskey to dumb myself down and understand it!

Perhaps the reason you feel your wasting your time is because there are comprehension issues. College is about being slammed with Homework. I have two classes before I finish my Master's and I'm drowning in homework every week, as well as working 121Hrs. every two weeks.

But guess what snowflake I wanna better myself so I suck it up in the short term. Ain't know one giving you *** in this life you want it you work hard for it.

I suggest you watch you tube for grammar and English classes. That way if you chose college again you won't look like a total ***.....you know like you did in your post!

I will say that I go to this Remington College right now and I am almost done. I have learned a lot, but you have to be all about it.

The first mod I learned nothing...after I knew what I was suppose to do ....it all came together. The people that are the problems with this school are Mrs. (DOE) and Ms.(Financial aid officer) They both have the worst facial expressions I have ever seen. Looked pissed all the time or give you the eat *** and die smile.

I have never had to go to the DOE office for anything...until I needed something. Then she treated me like I was a problem instead of trying to help me in a professional manner she gave me a bunch of ***. She made me feel about an inch tall and swimming in her spit. It was the worst experience I have had in a long time.

There is a way to keep your job and she is just not a good face for this school. Calling people and texting people outside of school. Who does that??? I am an adult, I know how to get to school, I don't need more stress from you calling me and spreading your nasty attitude with me.

Keep that mess to yourself. Remington needs to rethink your employment status. Now Ms. Financial Officer, I had a question about my financial aid for 2015 to 2016 and you bit my head off...how about that time I came in your office when I was a new student and wanted to know about my 2014 - 2015 financial aid situation and you bit my head off again.  It is so off putting.  This person should be a joy to work with...instead I am forced to deal with your attitude.  I have no way of knowing that you have a horrible life everyday, but please stop taking it out on the students of Remington College Columbia SC!!!

We have done nothing to you ma'am. We simply have questions about our financial situation and this college.

Isn't that part of your job...to help us with our financial needs and ps get off your apple I phone it really makes it harder to ask you a question, then we get that look..."you know your interupting my phone time right?"(the look on her face)  These two should really be looked at not from what people they work with say, but from the students that have to DEAL with them on a day to day basis. It has some folks dropping out because they feel harassed or feel they cannot get answers to their financial questions.

Remington College - College Accreditation Review from Houston, Texas

I am also having the same situation myself. I applied at the University of Houston and they told me that Remington College was not an Accredited College.

Now I am stuck with a $28,000 debt, but I felt like I got ripped big time.

This is ridiculous and frustrating. They even have it on their website saying that they are a Accreditation.

Remington is "accredited" but its by some joke of a company with like 40 employees. They never really look into anything so Remington can get away with anything.

The school's main goal is just to enroll as many people as possible. The teachers will let you get away with whatever you want so that you stay enrolled.

So sorry to hear about your bad experience. Tell anyone you can to get out.

I'm in the same position I owe them 29,000 I graduated( 2004-**** ) . This is a private college only but high private colleges accept their credits.

I'm still working in retail and can't get Sallie Mae off my back. I tell anyone don't attend Remington College for an Associate Degree. This is a trade college very bad experiences.

Don't want to attend the other high private colleges. I told the President of the Memphis, TN campus that I want to attend Ole Miss she had me thinking they accept their credits and they don't not Memphis State, Southwest Community college all the well known college in Memphis or Mississippi do not accept their credits all don't let me forget about job's DON'T ATTEND THIS COLLEGE FOR A DEGREE PLEASE

Remington College - Teacher Review from Saint Andrews, South Carolina

Remington College is by far the worse experience I've ever had. They fire teachers every two to three months.

They do not teach us what is needed to be taught. I'm in my 7th MOD and the one teacher that we had, that actually knew what she was talking about, they fired her the Monday after coming off of break. I've reached my breaking point with Remington College Columbia Campus. They are unprofessional and don't give a dam about the students.

I am highly pissed and feel like I wasted $16,000. By the way, is RC-Columbia Campus accredited or not?

I am currently going into my 3rd mod. The instructor i have is not very patient .

The directors are so whacked. She is so mean and does't seem to care much of complaints. The books are out dated. And the instructors and not teachers and not equipped to handle students.

The programs are outdated and the computers take so very long to load. Awwwful campus.

Alrighty folks, my apologies as I have been off the grid for a while. I do have an update for you, and please pass this along, as this is a VERY PUBLIC COMPLAINT and any and all sharing is appreciated so as to get the word OUT THERE!!

During this time of sending my complaint letter to everywhere I could think of(with little to no response from anyone), I maintaned contact with a Mr. Mike Lanouette(Dr. perhaps) in regards to asking him as to whether or not the CEO of Remington College had received my complaint. I did actually talk with and voice my concerns with him, and recorded it via my computer webcam.

Also, I did in fact receive my LONG OVERDUE diploma, but as it states on the diploma there is supposed to be an official school seal "here affixed to" and there was none, whereas the official transcripts they sent me HAD THE SEAL. I took photos of these and emailed them to Mr. Lanouette, and there was no result. I also received a letter from Mr. Forrest, the CEO, which I will also place on this update at the end..

The following are emails that were exchanged back and forth..

Mr. Lanouette,

I wanted to thank you for finding out that information for me. In all actuality its not a question of whether they are qualified in their field of experience but rather in their teaching methods and prior experiences of such. Since you were able to look up Mrs. Watson's qualifications, please also look up Mrs. Duhaney-Ward. Also please check into there prior "instructor/teaching" roles so as to truly determine whether they should be or should have been instructors at Remington college.

The wait for my official diploma is LONG overdue, I appreciate you finding out when I 'might' get it but only time will tell if it indeed arrives.

Although you had mentioned that the majority of the students and graduates from Remington's Colleges have been happy with their experiences, it is still inexcuseable to have been through what I have, and I cannot express that enough. I know for a fact that the majority of the 9 students that were in my particular class were very dissatisfied with their experience with the Cleveland campus. Some even dropped out and never finished the course of study.

As I had mentioned to you during our phone conversation today, I did received an unofficial diploma and set of transcripts as well as a set of offical transcripts. There was no letter from any representative from Remington's Cleveland campus concerning my formal complaint to them. This is unnerving because it was their incompetence that started all of this.

I would also like to mention that this is not the first letter I have given this campus.

As much as I appreciate your time and information given to me on this matter, I know that nothing will be done to eliminate my 'senseless' accumulation of debt from this institution unless I persue it through legal means. I suppose we will cross that bridge when/if we get there.

Thank you again for your time today.

I am not being shown any courtesy from Remington College in regards to this urgent matter. It seems you 'all' are disregarding my poor experience with your facility, as well as my formal complaint. This is once again proving the lack of concern or care for the students and graduates from this 'For Profit' facility.

My patience is running quite thin.

Mr. Lanouette,

In reading your email concerning a death in Mr. Forrest"s family, I understand that any correspondence will be delayed.

I do however want to mention that I have yet to receive my official diploma, when you said it would take a couple weeks-it has been a few weeks now, I would like an update.

I also requested information about Mrs. Duhany-Ward's as well as Mrs. Watson's prior teaching experience and have yet to receive any information on either in that regard. I do not understand the constant delay of information that should be readily available to you for me.

I am very unimpressed with the little correspondence I have receieved from you and the lack thereof from Remington's Cleveland campus. I know and understand that life happens, but there are certain responsibilities that people as in your position etc should be taking to rectify this situation.

Original review Sep 20, 2012
Below is my formal complaint letter of which I have sent to the cleveland campus, remington's corporate campus, a few news stations including CNN, Ohio Dept of Education, US Dept of Education & Accreditation, Ohio's Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. This letter has also been posted on Facebook and is public to view and share. This campus is not at all recommended nor is Remington College as a whole. This College is a FOR PROFIT institution that cares nothing for the students and graduates. I hope that you take this complaint into consideration before signing up. BEWARE!!!!! MY EXPERIENCE: To Whom It May Concern; I am a 2011 graduate of the Cleveland campus of Remington College in Ohio. It has almost been one year since my graduation and I still have yet to receive my diploma. I am a single mother and during the course of my education at Remington College I was working two full time jobs, ended up losing one job and forced to quit the other, moved three times, and had experienced many financial hardships. I worked hard and pulled through and graduated with a 3.8g.p.a. I was also my Mother's first and only child out of six to graduate college and I have nothing to show for it besides growing debt and excuses from Remington's Cleveland campus. After going to Remington's Cleveland campus multiple times since November of last year, and as recently as 3 weeks ago inquiring as to where my diploma is-they have once again given me the run-a-round. I placed a call to the Registrar, Jonathan McDaniel, to the campus' President, Mr. Patrick Resetar, and also to the corporate office. All of these calls were met with dead-ends, voicemails and messages having to be left. This is not the only reason for this formal complaint. Back in December of 2010 I had made the decision to enroll as a Medical Billing and Coding student at Remington College's Cleveland campus and begin my education in January 2011. The campus was close to my residence, my jobs, and was advertised as a fast growing and in-demand career. They had promised that the Medical Billers and Coders would have an externship, and that Career Services would be available anytime to help with finding a job and working on my resume. They claimed that it would only take nine months to complete the course, and you would be learning from those who are certified and had many years of experience. After starting my first month of classes, which are called "Mods" I felt I was doing the right thing in furthering my education and working towards a new and lucrative career. A few more months down the road it was told to the Medical Billing and Coding students (MBC's) that there was in fact no externship program for us but only available for the Medical Assisting students. By this time it was too late to withdraw from the course without owing a ridiculous amount of money towards the loans I had taken out through the college. This was something I had based on going to this school for-the experience from an externship that could possibly open the door to full employment. So with that no longer an option (not that it ever was apparently) I was very disappointed but was not a "˜quitter' and so, I carried on. During the start of my 4th Mod, my instructor Mrs. Watson was pulled away during one of our classes, came back, and left. She was terminated for one reason or another which was never quite explained to us. For the rest of the month we had no MBC instructor but were forced to be taught by a Pharmacy instructor who had no relative experience or knowledge of anything pertaining to the Medical Billing and Coding field. There were no discussions of coding or practice of it during this entire month, because of this the rest of the students and I felt really cheated and knew that we had lost valuable time and experience from our education being in such a short course of study(9 months) not to mention the feeling that our money was being wasted by being at this facility with no available MBC instructor. By the time the fifth Mod came around, we had switched to an "Upper Mod" teacher, Mrs. Duhaney-Ward and remained with her until the end of our nine months. It was then that we filled out our AAPC membership information and chose which examination we would take. During the last one or two months of the course, the instructor had mentioned that she usually had Saturdays available to have reviews for the MBC students to take practice exams and an overall review of what was taught. She then mentioned that she didn't have any Saturdays free and that she was booked up for months. Our course of study ended the second week of October 2011, Graduation was November 5th. Post graduation I attempted a number of times to schedule my CPC exam. All of those attempts were unsuccessful. After calling the AAPC, I was informed that they had never received my application nor my check to pay for the exams. And here began more of the problems that Remington's Cleveland campus created. After calling the campus, talking to Mr. Rohal(Pharmacy Dept. Chair-there was no MBC dept. Chair), he said that he would look into it and that they should all be sent out soon. November came and went, December too. That's when I realized there had to be something more going on than just having to wait. There must have been a mistake. I went to the campus and asked them directly about what was going on. They had apparently never sent out my Certification choice or my funds to pay for the examination. Someone had lost the paperwork. They asked me if I was sure that I filled out the required forms, and I said yes, because I distinctly remember walking into class one day and being asked if I had filled out the required paperwork for my certification examination. Of which I said that I did but filled out another set just in case. So in December of 2011 in my presence another application was completed and sent out with a check for my examination by Mr. Rohal who showed true professionalism and concern. This unfortunately lead to yet another conundrum-expired coding books/manuals. I was now faced with having to purchase new 2012 books of which I could not afford. After having talked with the Director of Education who at the time was Mr. Bates, I found him to be less than cordial with me during our initial phone conversation, then after leaving him messages and letters due to his inaccessibility I finally was able to acquire a new set of coding books via Mr. Rohal because of someone's misplacement of my paperwork. This mistake was detremental and cost me precious time and resources for being a Medical Biller/Coder because I was out of school, did not have any study courses or help from my instructors and was basically rotting away while waiting to take my examination, which was scheduled in March 2012. By this time it was 5 months post graduation. This long wait was due to the uncertainty as to when the 2012 coding manuals would arrive.During this time also, I went to the school multiple times and inquired about my diploma. Each visit I made sure to leave them my current address and contact information so that they were sure to have it. The excuses I received on each occasion astounded me, because they seemed to come up with any excuse they could think of. They told me that they had not been sent out yet(November), they said that maybe I owed money, they checked and I owed nothing at the time(December). They told me multiple times that they were sending it out soon, and that they would call me when they knew exactly when that would be(January & so on). This went on for many months. Here it is, 10 months almost 11 since my graduation and I have yet to receive this diploma that they told me only 3 weeks ago were sent out months ago. I was also told by Jonathan McDaniel that he would call me back after one week to come and pick it up. I have heard nothing. I called today he was unavailable the receptionist was unhelpful and was surprised that I hadn't received my diploma yet.Even though I have been working diligently with Career Services as well as myself on my own time, I have yet to find a job within the medical industry. I have asked not only to have my resume sent to billing and coding opportunities but also to medical reception, secretarial, and medical records jobs. All of their work and mine has resulting in nothing. So here it is, close to a year being done with college and I am $10,000.00+ in debt, unemployed by any medical facility, without a diploma, without an ending report card/grade sheet, and I am not certified. It seems as if the people within this college disregard anything to do with the MBC students and graduates. I have also taken note that this diploma seems to be just a piece of paper to them, and is disregarded as such. They have shown no priority to me as well as other MBC graduates to see if they have been given their Diploma. The professionalism of this college in regards to its MBC students current and those graduated is far lower than anything I have ever encountered in a professional setting as well as my previous college experience, for that matter. They seem to disregard any paperwork associated with the students, including the most important piece of paper-their diploma. The instructors have no teaching experience whatsoever and conducted class as a "˜quiet time' for students to read their piles of books with a casual conversation more often than not irrelevant to what they were supposed to be teaching. How this college is accredited is baffling to me. I do not understand how they can promise prospective students something and then say it was never an option (i.e. externship), fire instructors and leave the students to twiddle their thumbs for a month until they get moved to an "Upper Mod" or another class. I am disappointed with the lack of communication, pride, lack of organization, and professionalism that this college has shown me, and even more so that I have nothing to show for the time and sacrifices I have made while attending. This bad experience has lead me to tell my friends and family never to go to Remington College and make sure their friends stay away. I have also mentioned it to people I am not acquainted with, of which I have overheard discussing their college plans. I also plan on mentioning my experiences on a number of social networking sites to get the word out that this college is bad news. This letter will be sent to a number of people including the President of Remington's Cleveland Campus, the Corporate Campus, as well as a few of my local news stations, the Ohio Department of Education, The Attorney General of Ohio, and the board which granted accreditation to this college. I do not feel as if I have received any real education whatsoever, I feel very cheated, and the only thing I have gained has been disappointment and a mound of debt. From this experience I have concluded that Remington College is a joke. This facility was advertising and offering a well rounded course of study that included externships, great instructors, high job demand, and was marketed as a moneywise decision. I have since learned that Remington College's Cleveland campus no longer offers Medical Billing and Coding as a course of study. At this point I have no desire to repay the money that was borrowed to attend this school and am seriously considering fighting against any repayment to and the legitimacy of the school itself. I see this as a marketing scheme to make those who come from unfortunate or humble means working paycheck to paycheck to flock to the school to get an education that is not worth the tuition or time and effort that they would be putting into it. I have proved over and over again my patience and cordiality, and in return Remington College has proved time and time again their incapability and inept behavior causing my patience to run out. How my situation will be rectified is a mystery. I can only hope that this letter to all those I have sent it to results in an internal investigation of Remington College's Cleveland campus in their accreditation, lack of professionalism, loss of student files and information, and deceitful advertising. I would also like my debt to be cleared up or compensated for all of the previously stated reasons. Please note if there are any questions in regards to this matter or more information needed, please feel free to contact me via the information listed at the top right of this document. If when calling you do not receive an answer, please leave a message including your contact information so that I can get back to you. Regards, Jessica D. BarczykMBC Graduate 2011

I'm very grateful for seeing your post in time. I want to say how sorry I am that you're going through this, as I am a single mom as well and looking to go back to school.

I went with my son this past Saturday to visit the Cleveland Campus. After reading your review, I will turn and run.

I'm looking for another school to attend now. Thank you and I hope things work out for you.

I too wonder is there some kind of lawsuit. I been able to use anything ive learned at Remington College. I was basically told my diploma was useless.

I feel the exact same wat 2013 and they are still giving people the run around.

my update may be hard to read and I'm very sorry for that, did not like the formatt in which I entered my information i guess.

Please contact me, I feel EXACTLY like you do except I "am" a graphic design graduate and attended way back in '98 - '99. I never received my diploma, the teachers were BS and I recall any good ones were mysteriously terminated.

My e-mail is "solarphonic@***.com". I have luckily created something of a career but not from my so called education...all totally from my own attitude and charisma. Is there a lawsuit against these people? Especially now that I am $15K+ in debt!

Thanks for posting this! I'm glad I'm not alone!

GHETTO

I attend the North location in Houston Texas. I am enrolled in the Cosmetology program. There are fights everyday, and yesterday a student grabbed shears and started trying to cut people. The instructors are great! But that is not enough to deal with how the students conduct them selves. I was also very upset with financial aid. Basically the guy in charge is just a face there to take payment from the students. he is not knowledgeable about anything that you ask him. All he knows is lunch time and clock out time. If i were you i would not waste my time money or energy here. i would go to a community college

Total Diploma Mill...DO NOT ATTEND!!

Remington College is a total diploma mill - meaning they only care about enrolling as many people as possible and keeping them there long enough to get their money. Teachers don't care about educating students, they let students take tests as many times as we want so we can get 100's just to show that they are teaching us well.

They tell us that all we have to do is turn in homework and we get an automatic 100...so...how do I know if I am learning anything? A 100 is better than a 70 or whatever, but you aren't getting an education if they do that... it's bulls***. I haven't learned ANYTHING I will need to know to get a job.

It is a total waste of money. I have two friends who attended for two different programs. One of them can't find a job because no one recognizes Remington as a real school and the other is working but can't find anywhere that will pay her more than $9 an hour and she has to pay back $30,000 in loans. So ridiculous.

PLEASE PLEASE go to a community college instead of this awful school. I'm serious...look online and see all the negative reviews. It's not just one or two here and there...there are hundreds of angry people who were lied to about this place. They go out and search for poor kids and tell them they will help them get a better life but they don't care if you succeed or not...as long as they get that money.

It actually makes me really angry that they basically use low income people like myself to meet their numbers they need like they know we are *** and failures and that we will be happy with minimum wage jobs. They take advantage of us and that's total ***. DON'T GIVE THESE LIARS YOUR MONEY!!!!

Please, trust me. I will be dropping out.

My daughter attended and has worked in the dental assistant field with the office she did her externship in for almost 4 years now. She graduated from Remington and has been successful.

This is true...they go out and recruit low income kids who they know will get approved for loans. This place is full of liars and cheats. TURN AROUND AND RUN!!!

Remington College- Accredited School

I'm a 2005 graduate from Dallas Campus, at the time of enrolling I was told this was an accredited school. I recently went to a community college to continue my education and was told none of my courses were accredited.

I not only have an invalid degree (Associates in Computer Networking) but I am also still stuck with a 31,000 tuition. If I could go back and change things I would have gone with a community college from the get go.

If anyone knows of a lawsuit in place for this Facility please contact me. I would like to see things change.

Just hearing about this today I am also unhappy with my Remington college experience. Did this lawsuit ever go anywhere

Guest

Just out of curiosity I went online to see if any remington colleges still exist in Florida, only one, and online. I went in '06 also found out later it was only national accreditation and my courses were not accepted anywhere and all I got was in debt.

I agree something should be done about this . How many others?anonymous

Guest

The school is fully accredited. And, the student ought to attend A&M Commerce ... the credits will transfer.

I completely understand. My friend got stuck with a 36,000 debt.

They applied for so many loans for on her behalf without consulting with her. Now she is working 2 jobs to make ends meet. I helped her obtain all the paperwork she supposively signed (3 inches thick). It just took 2 months and 100 phone calls ????.

Anyways.

She wanes to find a lawsuit too. Anyone out there?

Yes i agree we all need to get together and make it happen im in debt with interest and no way to pay it back. The accreditation association needs to hear about these deceptive tactics and pay us back or @least the loans.

I was told i didn't qualify for a grant. Which wasn't true.

Dude they said the same thing to me saying I wasn't eligible for a grant and I had to pay to go to school. I promise you this school is a scam. I took the test on the computer and tried to fail the test and they still said I passed and was accepted.

Redneck Remington

Please whatever you do,avoid Remington so called colleges!!!!! The place is very unprofessional as well as the teachers. I attended the Hayes campus in Houston for about 3 months before realizing what a joke and waste of money it was!Now that i have a loan to repay I have run into even more trouble. God forbid life happens and you need to miss or postpone one payment. They won't hear of such. You will get to talk to some redneck back woods *** in Arkansas who will threaten you with phrases like "well if your account goes into delinquincy YOU WILL BE DEALT WITH", or "SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN". When I expressed my irritation about being threatened i was given the same lines again. I was also hung up on when I called back to let the man know how unprofessional he had been!!! As for the shool itself and the classroom I was left displeased and angry that i had wasted my time and money!!! If you are looking to further your education don't think it will happen here. Find a community college near you and enroll. It's not only Remington it's all of these quick fix education so called schools. Remington,Everest,Devry,CHCP etc. They are all over priced companies that are only out for the money. The teachers are not college professers, but just reagular people like you and I who applied for the job and were hired.

Remington College

My daughter was attracted to Remington College because of the "hands-on" training that they highlight as a key feature of their program. She was self-motivated, excelled in all of her courses, and passed the certification exam for medical assistant. However, after successfully completing the program and applying at several medical facilities, she was been unable to secure a job. I feel that Remington should do more to assist their graduates in securing employment. I do not feel comfortable recommending Remington to others, because all I have to show from my Remington experience is an unemployed child and a $13,000 loan that I must pay off.

I also graduated from a technical college for Medical assistant and received my Certification in Houston TX. I went to Blue Cliff college in Gulfport, Ms.

I moved BC I couldn't find work. It wasn't easy to find work here either BC everyone wants experience. I ended up getting a job doing health screenings at CVS(seasonal work) and after I earned that experience I got hired at a family practice clinic.

I suggest she apply for positions up to 20 miles and make sure her resume is intriguing. Also, volunteer if she can BC networking is great for references and getting a job.

I graduated Remington College-Shreveport, La. in 2010, the career services dept.

did offer many, many job leads and possible positions. If anyone has ever had a job, an interview, it's not the College or Career Dept. that gets you the job, It's YOU! I'm proud to say "I got hands on training, a Diploma and my National Registry from Remington.

To each his own, Remington does teach an accelerated program, but after working with externs from other Colleges, they didn't get the hands on training that we did, they're lose, the employers lose as well as the students. It took our Doctors office more time in their externship to train them, watch over them and most didn't cut it!

Guest

I can understand what you are talking about. I went there and graduated in 2010 and even kept going back to the career services dept.

They don't keep up with resumes or anything.

They only have jobs that are already in the newspaper. I know that they don't guarantee jobs but they can at the least assist students in finding work.

Guest

I think this is a problem that all college graduates face, unfortunately. But it is not the colleges fault. They can only do so much in this economy, they can't provide the job offers.

Remington does have Career Services so has she even tried contacting them for help?!

Guest

The colleges do ASSIST with job placement. I went there many years ago and they assisted me but it was ME who landed the job.

I successfully sold my skills at an interview that the college had set for me. My success is all because of Remington College-Dallas Campus

You are so wrong about the school helping find jobs for their students. I graduated several years ago and they never helped me find a job and I called or went to the school everyday. I still have not gotten a job in the field that I went to that money pit for.

Remington teacher way over her head!!!!!

I came back to remington to finish what i have started,I have two module left but they wont let me come back unless i sign a paper,I had to stop school due to my injury caring a suitcase full of books.i have all the information..note from doctors etc. they said they return the money to my loans, because i have no more money left in my loans.for me to comeback to school i have to pay personally remington college almost $3,000 for two module? but me being *** want to finish my dreams i sign the paper.and continue in shool.at the end of my last mod my teacher have us create a porfolio one is to write a mission statement and she return mine to finish them because i was missing some stuff and not in order.and also write a note on my porfolio that my mission statement is not pretty? does she have a right to choose what my dreams are? since i started with her as my teacher i never got an A anymore? she always load her student with homework like ur own ur own..dont explain stuff..i am so pissed also because the rest of my class had taken a springcharts book from chapter to chapter 6 from previous mod.but when i got back to school she hand me that book have me finish from ch.1 to 12.for 4 weeks with all those homework she gave us...and not just that computer at school is slower than a turtle.when you ask for question how to do it she try to fix but dont know what's shes doin reason is because of the glitch...i think teacher should know what they are teaching...I dont know what to do but to express my emotions i have talked to the president but ofcourse he or will protect that teacher...I agree it is a ripped-off!!!!! I have classmates that graduate from a year ago and still dont have a job? no will hire them...now its my turn will I get a job knowing that I owe almost 20 k in school? not true when they say we are here to help? but where are they when theres a problem...

I was investigating Remington College as a potential employer when I found this student's comment. Congratulations Remington College and the teacher who returned the student's work as unacceptable.

The comment was filled with almost 100 errors in flow, grammar, spelling and made little sense. As an educator from New England, I am pleased someone stood up to this work. No one should expect a passing grade when the work presented appears as this comment does.

Please student, accept the feedback and grow. Your future depends on improvement.

Physical therapy class - big joke

took physical therapy assistant program at Remington College and cannot pass the boards. Alot of the questions asked were not even tought to us. Paid 500.00 to take test again - same thing. Studied alot and still could not pass. Have always passed tests in the past with no problems. 2 other members of my class also taking test for the 2nd time. Owe alot of money in loan and cannot get license. Would not recommend this school for this program. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. This is the first year this class has been offered - dont feel it was ready to take on this class if people cannot find answers to questions asked.

REMINGTON COLLEGE - POOR PHYSICAL THERAPY PROGRAM

Physical Therapy Assistant program offered for the first year does not prepare you for State Board Test. Scored high in class, never failed tests and CANNOT pass the Board.

Havent learned half of the stuff they ask on the test. Took it and failed the first time, paid 500.00 to take a second time and many more questions asked which were not part of the schooling. Now owe 20,000.00 and still have not been able to pass the Boards. I know of 2 more friends who are in the same boat and still trying to pass.

VERY DISSAPPOINTED AND DISCOURAGED.

I was warned of the reputation of this school but did not believe. I am NOW A BELIEVER.

Remington College Baton Rouge Campus

Although I am a graduate of Remington College I do not like the way that the career department handles things with helping you to get jobs. i had submitted my resume to the career services department prior to completing my studies, which the lady told me that she would fix it and send it out. That was in December 2010. No one never called me about a job and when I went to the career center on Tuesday Sept 27th they could not even find my resume. WOW!!! I had to give them a hard copy of one that I had,and "they" told me to come back and they would have job leads. Well as you know gas is not cheap, I went back and only to find out about a job at a hotel that I already knew of. Why would I spend money on a Business Administration degree and be someone's housekepper??? I think NOT!! They did fix my resume, but all in all I am not pleased. I know that a job is not garunteed but at least do what you say you are going to do... in reference to job leads!!!
