Courses

Hello! I have been looking at different options for schooling for physical therapy.

After doing a quick google search Remington College came up as an option. I had visited the website, but after looking at the courses offered I didn't see anything in regards to physical therapy.

Maybe there is something that I'm not seeing, or this course isn't offered. If I could get some direction or guidance I would greatly appreciate it.

Thankyou,

Kelly Landry

Do Not attend Remington!!!! I’m currently trying to leave and get my money back for the medical assisting program.

You have to teach yourself submit your work online. There are teachers available to assist. The classes have nothing to do with medical assisting.

They are running a scam. I’ve spoken with medical facilities who won’t hire students from Remington because they aren’t properly trained.

They do not know how to conduct their on line classes. I highly recommend that people go somewhere else.

They are taking your money and not giving you the education or training that you need. COVID should not be an excuse!

Poor teaching

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I joined right before the pandemic and I didnt like the online courses cause they were soo unrealistic and instead of starting from the start of learning HVAC I was put in a class where the current class was 3-4 month in . the teacher Mr Cook was a good guy but his teaching skills were horrible. read from the book, didnt even know answers to his own questions cause it was in the book and literally the classes were 5-6 hrs and 2 of those hours were for learning and the rest was just hanging out

Poor value.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Lafayette LA. The starting pay for most of this training is joke.

You will end up earning a few dollars above minimum wage.

Target starts you at $12.75-$15.00 per hour. It will probably be a waste of time and money anyway, due to the low price of oil, no one will be hiring in the Lafayette LA area until the price doubles from here.

First set of classes a teacher told me to get the *** out of class twice after sabotaging my grade on my final assignment. Her name was Ms.

Bayless. The last set of classes I took I had the head of the IT department laugh in my face, after I said I was going to file some complaints with the Arkansas Department of Education.

Reason being he suspended me 2 days for telling him to ,"be quite". His name was Mr. Lohman.

These people play game with your future ,not to mention, they just totally rip you off by not teaching, hiring teachers that drink on the job , terminally ill and are just plain spiteful. PERSONALLY, I wouldn't go their with that sort of attention from someone that's ,"mentally handicap" and they never apologized to.

Just goes to show you how much they care about their student's , really does.

Read my complaints I've posted for the department of education office of civil right's.Here is a shortcut to my google review that includes some documents and the suspension letter. Or just search for it on Google maps.

The link that was sent to me, from "pissed" was invalid, imagine that Remington College. I hope ya'll can sleep at night because I can't thanks

Original review Jun 24, 2019

I started in the Largo, Fl campus and the classes were so not correct with my CJ program and how long I was there. Taking classes that are for students that were above me.

The school closed, and I'm stuck with $ owed, that they got paid for. I was told there is 1 in Land O Lakes today so I can,t get a forgiveness for my loan.

25 miles to moo county, no car and 2 kids really.

Shame on you Remington, that is very bad form, when people are trying to have schooling to get a better job, and you left us blowing in the wind, to pay for something we don't get. Just like are grants we are paying for them now but ya'll didn't have a problem cashing the check.

A nightmare that takes dreams away!

How to put into words to describe my experience and the following nightmare that ensued after so called graduation from Remington College in Jacksonville, FL. You sign a contract for a specific amount but from week one you seem to be signing again and again for loans for semester's you haven't even started yet.

When you approached those in authority to better explain just what I'm signing, you nicely get told they would look into it. Once they do, you get told, oh don't worry we will rescind that last one and give you that amount back? Then you go and continue your hopeful dream of getting a college degree with credits good at any college in the United States? You still feel uneasy because some of the so called subject matter experts, are not so expert and you know more then they!

To top it off, several instructors and student's themselves because they recently graduated but never worked in the field? Long story short, you believe upon graduating that after 5 financial Aides replacements, 3 school presidents, and numerous teachers and recruiters in that short year in a half that all would be well and up front. I mean you figure each school has requirements that they are suppose to meet and with federal loans you would figure they also would have rules and guidelines to prevent such things as fraud! Nope, 6 months after graduating you start getting bills from both Federal and low and behold private loans adding to a staggering $40,0000.

But wait, that can't be, I signed a contract for barely $19,000 for a National Accredited School, credits transferable to any other college around the country right? Wrong on all counts, so you go back to the school and try and get explanation's as to why the difference and you get delayed, were looking into that, come back in a week to give me time to check it out, were short handed. Excuse after excuse and then one day, doors locked, school is closed and no longer in Jacksonville, FL! No access to records to prove you've been scammed, nobody to talk to, they are all gone!

You call Department of Education, Sallie Mae, NELNET, all have sympathy but lots and lots of instructions but all you get is delay, the records are here or there or being moved to the main campus? I thought I was at the main campus? All they have to do is stall because after 3 short years, your screwed. During that time you find a school that actually takes their credits be it not as much as you were every told, but get accepted and University of Phoenix but you are much more aware this time and see the same thing happening so you get out, does that stop the school from submitting for loans?

Nope! Do you get your money back for semester's you were never in? Nope! In the end, you lose just about everything, home, car, pension, why, because when you can use the money you do earn from jobs that neither school helped you get but claimed they did until you point out the facts to them and remove your picture from their success job board.

Yep, you lose because after 3 years, you can't get help, can't get them dismissed, can't file bankruptcy or put them into it because good old uncle Sam protects its interest and you the student are not the interest they concern themselves with, it's the predatory loan Mongols who live off the unknowing, creating hundreds of millions of dollars in student debt in any feasible used car dealer fashion to the unsuspecting, unfamiliar student or parent! Yes they get their money one way or another even if its 25 years later but you, you don't get that chance!

Better to die then pay for this scam! That's my story, not fully because I could write a series of books of the crap I had to go threw!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went questioning JoAnn Boudreaux Thursday of last week about assignments in my class, she came to teachers class realized the mistake teacher made, i go to school today, and she says she signed me out of program, she said i told her i wanted that, which i never did, she handed me a paper today dated from Thursday, saying i went to her, but there was no reason on paper, when i brought that up, she snatched paper from my hand on and then wrote her initials, then circled....dislike program, i refused to accept it and she had me escorted off campus, never did i get loud or hostile but most importantly i never said i wanted to quit the MA program for any reason!!!!

Job placement

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Graduated last year with an Associate in Medical Assisting and it has been a year and I have not been able to find a job even going to the career fair and having no luck ..now having to pay on my student loans and barely being able to work a job for above minimum wage. I very disappointed and I kept a 3.5 GPA through school.

So I think that they should change their job placement program to who you know placement program.I take pride in me finishing my college degree but not being able to find a job in my field is very discouraging , disappointing. At this point I am better off joining the military and serving my country.

I went to school in Memphis Tennessee Remington College graduate with high honors made the Dean's List and to this date 2 years later I have not found a job it's ridiculous I am so not happy about this still paying on that long no one tell you which my fault I should have looked it up you have to have at least two the five years worth of experience to get into medical billing coding however the school didn't say that they just took your money I gave you some false hopes and still I am not working in that field struggling to make ends meet it's on Fair and my loan really should be forgiven the Department of Education should look into this and I swear I will pursue and file a complaint against the school until I die

Money hungry and lack of consistency

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

While in school they gave me 2 refund checks then 4 months later told me they gave me $261 to much! I called the Pesident Mr.

Walls he told me if they gave me the check it was mines I don't owe anything, then 2 days before graduation ceremony they said I could walk without paying it, when I contacted Mr. Walls he recanted and said I had to pay. The kicker as well was at graduation ceremony they did not call my name for honors or dean's list when I stayed on dean's list the entire school year and just told me sorry it was a mistake like it was nothing! Also while in school every teacher quit or lost there job, down to one and the director of cosmetology had to be in the class daily and lack at her regular job!!

Also at the end of my program I had to call corporate and wait over 2 weeks for them to pay for my state board test then after passing it I had to call corporate again and wait over 2 weeks again for them to pay for my license!

When u start the school they get ur Pell Grant and loans up front but lack when its time for them to pay! I did learn a lot but over all a bad experience!

To the person who didn’t pass a class.....just because you didn’t pass a class, you are still responsible for the tuition. You took the classes.

I don’t understand why you are confused. That makes no sense.

Your grades are not a determining factor in repaying loans. You are responsible for paying back your loans..
